Benefits Manager

WWC Global, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Benefits Manager to develop, implement, administer, and maintain the PCC benefits program, policies, and procedures. Ensures programs are equitable, cost effective, attract and retain talent and comply with legal requirements. The Benefits Manager develops strategic relationships with our brokerage and carriers, creates effective benefits communications/marketing, and advises employees on benefits related issues. Evaluates existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends, and developments.

Expected salary range: $78,000 - $88,000.

Duties:

  • Develops, administers, and advises on the full suite of benefits offered by the PCC (medical, dental, visions, 401K, life, disability, other fringe benefits).
  • Manages new hire, termination, and life event enrollment.
  • Provides benefits ramp up when new companies are integrated into the PCC by evaluating any current differences and integrating with carriers, companies and affected employees.
  • Liaises with brokers and acts as the central POC for employees, brokers, and other plan administrators.
  • Oversees and manages open enrollment including marketing and education to employees.
  • Manages the FEHB interactions with administrators.
  • Manages, distributes, and files all required annual notices and reports for the plans.
  • Continuously scan the market and do market research to ensure the PCC is a best-in-class employer with a competitive total compensation program.
  • Ensures our plan attracts and retains top talent.
  • Ensures benefit program is compliant with all state and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Manages the workers compensation program including state registrations.
  • Manages unemployment insurance claims.
  • Administrates the benefits email box and triages individual employee requests and questions.
  • Manages auxiliary insurances for specific contractual requirements to include but not limited to duty of care and medical evacuation programs.
  • Reviews, reconciles, and approves benefit vendor billing for all PCC companies.
  • Ensure employee and employer deductions are correct for payroll processing.
  • Manages and updates policies and procedures in accordance with benefits program goals and objectives.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

Travel:

  • 0-10% / Minimal travel expected: offsites, meetings, training, a conference.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree //OR// 4 years of experience in lieu of degree in HR, or business administration.
  • 5+ years of experience managing or administrating corporate benefits.
  • Experience managing employee benefits data within an HRIS system.
  • Experience conducting industry and market analysis for a suite of benefits or a benefits program.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience managing compliance for benefits programs to include ACA Reporting, ERISA compliance, and COBRA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in government contracting, with a focus on entity owned organization.
  • Experience with the Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan.
  • Experience as a UKG admin user.
