Summary

Save the Children, a global humanitarian and development organization, is seeking an intern to work with the Behavior Change and Community Health team of the Department of Global Health in the International Program Division. This position provides an excellent opportunity for exposure to the program design and implementation of Social and Behavior Change (SBC) programming across the Division.

 

What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Impact)

  • Support SBC team in key knowledge management activities:
    • Support finalization of the SBC framework (annotated PowerPoint) and online FOCUS tool (online SBC strategy development tool), comparing online updates with written text
    • Update team websites together with team members, including summarizing and drafting information
    • Set up new Microsoft Teams channels for the SBC team, exploring the online MS Teams suite opportunities for the most effective team communication.
    • Transition Facebook at Work/Workplace users of the SBC page into an existing SBC listserv and learn how to manage participation
    • Collect all SBC resources shared on Workplace in selected folders to make them more widely available
    • Support team members in transition to the shared filing system, e.g., generate special folders with key SBC framework documents and presentations in close collaboration with team members
  • Support meeting management including scheduling and documentation of meetings for several projects, including agenda development and note taking
  • Work with a team member to document adaptation of the food security Graduation Model, particularly regarding the role of SBC, which represents innovation for integrated food security and resilience programming

 

Required Qualifications

  • Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately and with discretion
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation: $17 / hour

Hours: 24 hours per week
