Backup and Recovery Administrator

Responsibilities

We are Hiring! Our FDA program is  looking for a Backup and Recovery Administrator. This qualified individual will join our team of highly performing technicians.This position is remote anywhere within the US. 

 

What You'll Do:

 

• The Backup and Recovery Administrator will manage all backup and restoration capabilities for all data, operating system, applications, and component configurations for customer data centers and field site locations.
• Monitor and manage backup jobs, ensuring successful completion and resolving failures promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades and performance tuning of the backup systems.
• Manage data retention policies and ensure compliance with customer requirements. 
• Provide technical support for backup and recovery incidents, troubleshooting and restoring data as needed. 
• In addition to the above, participation in on-call rotation is required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of IT related experience with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
• 2 years of experience in a BUR environment
• Knowledge of Backup and Recovery/DR concepts
• Knowledge of network technologies and storage technologies such as network attached storage (NAS), file systems, and VMware
• Knowledge of AWS concepts and storage offerings
• Troubleshooting skills in Windows and Linux environment
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency clearance 

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency with a backup system/solution such as Veritas, Rubrik, Veeam, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Attention to detail

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
