Azure Managed Services Consultant

Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Azure Managed Services Consultant. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.
The Managed Services Senior Consultant is partnering with clients to form a long-lasting relationship while assisting with their growth across the Azure cloud platform. This would cover a wide breadth of tasks from technical writing, security assessments, licensing questions, or anything in or related to the Microsoft Cloud Product stack. Expertise in Azure and related core technologies including but not limited to Active Directory, Cloud Identities, Virtual Machines, Networking and Firewalls, Database and File management, Azure Functions, Azure Design and Architecture, Azure Virtual Desktop, and any number of additional Azure technology support are required.
As part of the Managed Services team, you are responsible for helping to foster the long-term relationship and partnership with our clients. Going beyond just doing good technical work, and into being a good co-worker, partner, and advisor. 

Responsibilities

• Surface and analyze customer business requirements.
• Translate requirements into an architectural design and influence the deployment of key infrastructure components
• Design, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of an Azure Tenant
• Plan and execute an end-to-end implementation of the target workloads
• Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Azure and related core technologies
• Be up to date on new technologies within Azure that could benefit customers
• Understand and be comfortable with multiple Azure technologies/products and be able to assist clients in the exploration, initial setup, and support of those technologies
• Desired SME skillset for a few select technologies that you could ask as the team's internal expert and escalation point for. (Example - Infrastructure as a code, AKS, VMware, Linux, Database, Azure Compute, Azure Security, AVD, etc.)

Education Certifications and Expereince

• Identity and Access Management: SME for Entra ID, Azure active Directory Federation Service (ADFS)
• Active Directory: Should have real-world experience helping to managing and maintaining AD, Entra ID integration, GPO's, etc.
• Azure: Should have experience with Entra ID, Intune, Cloud App Security, Conditional Access.
• Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking required
• Kubernetes, containers, and networking highly desired
• Governance experience is preferred
• Azure automation, Azure Monitoring 
• Security: Experience with Microsoft Sentinel and custom KQL queries
• Any Microsoft or Technical certifications are a positive and should be noted, especially related to the core technology stack of Azure.

Salaries for Consultants at Planet Technologies range from $120,000 and $210,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
