Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Tech Product Lead - Payments will be instrumental in defining and executing our product strategy within the digital wallets and payments solutions space. This position will act as a lead technologist on the Payments program, with a focus on innovating and integrating cutting-edge payment solutions that redefine how transactions are conducted digitally. This role will be responsible for establishing a deep understanding of the payments strategy to align and implement it across the team, as well as with stakeholders and clients.

The Team:

  • Responsible for executing payments technical strategy and for the next generation of payments, wallets, and tokenization capabilities.

  • Partners with counterparts in the Product Organization, providing valuable technology input on the direction, design, and development of payments products.

  • Passionate about emerging payments, with a keen eye for identifying the ways in which new opportunities can be leveraged in the retail and finance space.

  • Works closely with Client, Strategy and Partnership teams to identify new opportunities, lead concept development, and establish strategic integrations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, the ability to think strategically, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to the development of high-quality payments products while providing thought leadership to the team and partners.

  • Act as an active contributor to the overall strategy of the program, drive technical decision making, and drive the execution of the program through all phases from planning to delivery.

  • Contribute to forward thinking ideation & thought leadership with cross-functional Payments team to identify new opportunities. Have the curiosity to pursue the interesting while avoiding the distractions of the unimportant.

  • Cultivate strong internal and external relationships to link ideas and people, identify source new opportunities.

  • Strong comfort for working in ambiguity and defining a path forward where one may not yet exist.  Skilled in getting relevant stakeholders to see the vision and win prioritization.

  • Drive functional and technical delivery of key team and org-wide programs/initiatives

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design, scope, and shepherd features.  Create functional specs, project / release plans, and roadmaps.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5+ years of IT experience (or a graduate of an accelerated IT leadership program) OR in lieu of degree, a High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 9+ years of IT experience.

  • Demonstrated experience understanding business & technical requirements of projects, effectively managing development resources, vendors & partners, & testing efforts.

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                  

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                               

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
