Position Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):

Responsible for overseeing and leading all IT Managed Services including Managed Service Provider (MSP) strategy, MSP relationship management; MSP Delivery; MSP Performance Management; and MSP Financial Management. 

Provides day-to-day leadership and direction for all IT Manage Services delivery.   Develops and maintains strategy and plans for IT Managed Services transformation and service delivery. Responsible for all Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship management, Contract Management, and Performance Management across all IT functions including Data center; Cloud; End User Technology; Application Management. 

Drives improved performance of MSP delivery through an outcome / fact based approach using Service Level; Quality; and Cost Efficiency measures; metrics; and targets.  Develops partnerships with IT and Business areas to develop and enhance ACG’s MSP strategy and capabilities to drive improved service delivery and cost efficiency and to meet the strategy goals of ACG and its members. Oversees multiple MSP initiatives and ensures that Provider implementations are delivered on time, within budget and meet the all business and IT requirements along with adhering to corporate standards.  Is able to help define business need and determine the most cost-effective approach in satisfying that need. Effectively communicates status of MSP initiatives to the business leaders and senior leaders of the organization.  Additionally, will lead the budget planning and monitoring process for all IT operations.

Partners with other members of IT to support and enable various initiatives, both within and outside of the IT domain. Ensures that proper methodologies are used in the development and delivery of MSP solutions. Develops staff, promotes collaboration and ensures that the proper competencies exist to effectively deliver and support all MSP delivery. Directs and monitors performance and initiates corrective action where necessary.

Develops and manages MSP stagey and plans along with securing approvals and budget to acquire, develop and implement new MSP capabilities.

Determines and follows up on work assignments, projects and tasks for the area of responsibility.

Develop and maintain MSP transformation and operational budgets in accordance with corporate guidelines.

Leads management, professional and technical staff throughout the footprint.

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)

Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science or other closely related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years in a leadership role including leading MSP strategy development and transformation implementations.

  • Strong experience in the implementation of MSP transformations with a proven record of accomplishment in delivering large / complex MSP solutions.

  • Strong Experience in MSP strategy development and Procurements; Provider Management; Contract Management; Performance Management; and IT Financial Management.​

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Planning and financial skills and experience related to forecasting and managing large scale IT operational budgets

  • Ability to recruit, hire, manage and direct staff

  • Provider management

  • Project management and delivery

FLEX WORK IN WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is currently able to work remotely from a home office location for day-to-day operations unless occasional travel for meetings, collaborative activities, or team building activities is specified by leadership. This is subject to change based on amendments and/or modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
