The AVP, HRBP Manager will promote and support business and department objectives through the development and delivery of human capital solutions. The individual will drive employee relations imperatives and help build the workforce planning strategy with business leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to bring forth new ideas and see those ideas come to life!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Consults with client groups to support balanced and optimal outcomes that advance individual and organizational success.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with teammates across all levels of the organization.

- Collaborates with Talent Management to build and develop human capital solutions that meet organizational needs.
- Ensures rules and regulations that impact internal employee policies, the legal landscape, and workplace requirements are applied to relevant engagements; recommends best practices to integrate requirements into an informed workplace experience.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in order to recommend and develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Provides guidance to people leaders towards optimal and effective performance coaching.
- Effectively manages investigations, employee disciplinary actions, and organizational exits.
- Demonstrates tact, professionalism and maturity when handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated ownership of and consistent delivery on commitments, exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Manages collection of materials and documentation that support business partner functions.
- Acts as an agent to support change during periods of organizational culture and business growth.
- Interacts with staff both virtually and in person to understand and respond to needs, answer questions, and provide direction and support.
- Partners to drive workforce planning and organizational design for client groups.
- Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrates commitment to SCU Values.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology or closely related field.
- 7+ years of experience in employee relations in a service driven environment.
- 6+ years consulting business leaders toward solutions.
- 6+ years influencing with or without authority.
- Comprehends, interprets, and applies the appropriate sections of EEOC guidelines, applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information to form recommendations.
- Ability to balance independent work optimally while identifying correct opportunities to collaborate with various teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), and specifically in MS Teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of leadership.
- Experience working both independently and in collaboration with teams to drive results.
- Financial Institution background.
- Prior workforce planning and organizational design experience.
- Open-mindedness and an empathetic mentality with a desire to support our mission.
- (S)PHR and/or SHRM-(S)CP Certification.
Working Conditions:
- This is a hybrid role with work performed remotely as well as in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.
- Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.
- The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The salary range for this position is $114,900 to $143,600/annually.
