Prevailance is seeking experienced, mission-focused professionals to support Marine Air-Ground Task Force Command and Control (MAGTF C2) as Maintenance Instructors. Instructors will support the effort to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, support, and manage training products, as well as deliver training, for the Aviation Command and Control (AC2) component of MAGTF C2. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in operational Air Command and Control (AC2) units and military schoolhouses. Travel will be required.


The MAGTF C2 AC2 portfolio includes the Common AC2 System (CAC2S), Air Battle Management and Sensor Netting (ABM&SN), the interfaces of these programs, and the evolution of these programs and emerging MAGTF C2 requirements. ABM&SN consists of Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS) and the Composite Tracking Network (CTN).


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Deliver Maintenance training to equip students with a functional understanding of systems theory, system administration, and field, fleet, and sustainment-level maintenance
  • Conduct hands-on instruction focused on real-world application and assess student performance
  • Instruct students on the emplacement, displacement, preventive, and corrective maintenance of MAGTF C2 AC2 systems
  • Teach students to execute hardware and software diagnostic tests, interpret results, and troubleshoot system malfunctions
  • Guide students in isolating and locating malfunctions down to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level
  • Provide training on removing defective components, installing LRUs, major system components, and implementing software update
  • Review, analyze, and resolve training deficiencies, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Update and enhance curriculum and documentation to align with evolving training needs
  • Analyze training delivery strategies to optimize student comprehension and retention
  • Provide input on project schedules and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve training material issues
  • Utilize MIL-HDBK-29612/2A (Instructional Systems Development/Systems Approach to Training and Education) and NAVMC 1553.1 (Systems Approach to Training Users Guide) as guiding frameworks
  • Develop curriculum products in accordance with MCO 1553.2B (Management of Marine Corps Formal Learning Centers and Training Detachments)
Requirements

Each instructor must possess:

  • Experience in MAGTF C2 AC2 maintenance and training
  • Experience delivering hands-on maintenance training with performance-based assessments
  • Expertise in system administration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills to engage and educate students effectively
  • Proficiency in MIL-HDBK-29612/2A, NAVMC 1553.1, and MCO 1553.2B training methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills to identify training gaps and recommend improvements
  • Ability to work with hardware/software diagnostics, LRU replacement, and system updates

Maintainer Instructor Team Requirements:

The Instructors must collectively possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Experience in the maintenance and configuration of the MACCS (Marine Air Command and Control System) family of systems
  • Experience as a MACCS network administrator
  • Experience integrating MACCS sensors
  • Experience configuring and maintaining radios, antennas, and other telecommunications equipment used within the MACCS
  • Experience with Tactical Data Framework (TDF) setup and integration
  • At least two years of experience configuring and maintaining tactical data links, including:
    • Link 16
    • Joint Range Extension Application Protocols (JREAP) A, B, and C
  • Experience with Cisco router and switch hardware and Internetwork Operating System (Cisco certifications preferred)
  • Experience managing operating systems within a virtual environment
  • At least four years of experience with Radio Frequency (RF) propagation and fundamental characteristics of the electromagnetic spectrum
