A/V Operation Support Specialist

Salary/Position Classification

• $48,500-$53,000 annual, Dependent on Experience, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 40 hours per week

  ** Due to the nature of the work, this position requires an onsite at UND Grand Forks, physical presence. ** 

Purpose of Position

This position will assist faculty, staff and students with the daily operation and troubleshooting of classrooms and conference rooms AV equipment and to assist Information Resources with the maintenance, and upgrade of all AV equipment at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks and all of its remote sites.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Wire, terminate and test all AV cables and connectors.
• Install AV and computer equipment in racks and AV cabinets. 
• Maintain all AV equipment operations.
• Troubleshoot AV equipment problems.
• Repair minor AV equipment and coordinate major AV equipment repair with vendors.
• Respond to support calls.
• Orders electronic parts and supplies. 
• Provide training to faculty, staff and students on how to use AV systems.
• Create training documentations for end users.

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree in electronics or 3 years of experience in the commercial audiovisual industry.
• Troubleshooting experience with commercial Audiovisual or control systems.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience in Crestron or similar control systems.
