Test Automation Engineer III

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND Public Trust.

The Test Automation Engineer III provides technical and administrative oversight for quality assurance of complex software applications. This role evaluates, recommends, and implements automated testing tools and strategies to ensure software reliability and performance. The engineer collaborates closely with architects, technical leads, BPM, and SaaS developers to design and implement a robust automated testing framework.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Test Automation Engineer III: $130,000 to $135,000 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Test Automation Engineer III Responsibilities Include: 

• Develop and execute automated test plans and scripts for complex software systems.
• Design test strategies aligned with software development and risk management processes.
• Evaluate and integrate automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on software testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Analyze user requirements to create detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Provide guidance on test design, test data management, and tool selection.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Test Automation Engineer III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years in automation testing; or
• 3+ years of software testing and 1+ year in automation testing with an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Proven expertise in developing test scripts and code for automated testing tools.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA processes, and risk management assessments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience testing BPM and SaaS applications preferred.
• Familiarity with modern automation frameworks and scripting languages preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
