The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Specialist to join us in the California (Southern California, Bay Area, and San Jose). In this role, you will sell and support Red Hat's strategy of promoting Red Hat open source technologies for cloud-native and hybrid cloud application development, integration, and digital transformation with Fortune 500 companies. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships and selling to executives and key business leaders to promote Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. You’ll need to be knowledgeable in automation technology and integration technology and you must have extensive experience in communicating the business value of open source and hybrid cloud technology solutions. Experience with digital transformation, internet of things (IoT), and edge computing as well as analytics technologies is a plus. What you will do

  • Sell Red Hat's cloud solutions portfolio by exploring, defining, and taking advantage of new business opportunities
  • Develop cloud strategies and plans and participate in strategic, tactical, and forecasting planning
  • Promote the value of Red Hat offerings and solutions to prospective customers in a highly competitive market
  • Meet quantitative and qualitative performance expectations and set high standards for presenting key messages to C-level executives in and out of Red Hat
  • Guide customers from initial adoption of virtualization to a private, hybrid, and public cloud using Red Hat’s technologies and services
  • Work closely with the enterprise sales account teams to identify key accounts and assist in creating and carrying out strategic account plans
  • Gain trusted adviser status with senior IT and business executives for key accounts to create long-term partnerships with customers

What you will bring

  • Extensive experience in a solutions sales role or in tech sales and consulting services
  • Background in consultative customer engagement with an automation platform provider or on the sales team of a containers and orchestration platform reseller
  • Broad technical experience with enterprise DevOps and automation technologies
  • Experience focused on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Mesosphere is a big plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to executives at large firms
  • Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment
  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers
  • Balance of strategic and tactical skills

The salary range for this position is $281,650 - $464,830 OTE (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
