We are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Audit Lead to perform and oversee delegated service provider audits on behalf of the London and international insurance and reinsurance markets. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive auditing experience with respect to performing underwriting, claim management, and organizational reviews. Davies’s Property & Casualty Audit Solutions division conducts approximately 300 audits annually across various P&C sectors, including claims audits, underwriting reviews, DCA audits, Coverholder MGA/carrier audits, reinsurance audits, premium audits, and compliance audits. We are seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Audit Lead to perform and oversee delegated service provider audits on behalf of the London and international insurance and reinsurance markets. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive auditing experience with respect to performing underwriting, claim management, and organizational reviews. Suitable candidates will be those who excel in collaborative environments and are dedicated to delivering customized solutions that meet client-specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end audit engagements, including claims, underwriting, DCA, Coverholder/MGA, reinsurance, and compliance audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Assist Lead and direct subordinate auditors on complex, high-level audit assignments and provide expert guidance
- Supervise, mentor, and provide training to auditors and independent contractors
- Independently conduct comprehensive audits across Property & Casualty insurance sectors, including claims, underwriting, and compliance
- Perform risk assessments to identify areas of concern
- Develop customized audit plans tailored to meet specific client objectives
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings, risks, and actionable recommendations
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and client expectation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, claims teams, and external partners, to improve audit procedures and operational efficiencies
- Ensure audit procedures are executed efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Monitor and evaluate audit performance metrics to improve future audit procedures
- Facilitate audit discussions and meetings with senior leadership, external partners, and regulatory bodies
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations effectively

Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years of multiline Property & Casualty claims and/or underwriting experience
- 10+ years of Property & Casualty auditing experience
- Proficient in writing detailed audit reports
- Experience with the London market is necessary
- Ability to independently conduct detailed audits with precision and thoroughness
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, working across various levels of an organization
- Ability to travel as needed
