What our Client is looking for on this Project

Seeking an experienced Workflow and Collaboration Engineer to join the Workflow and Collaboration team. In this strategic role, you will lead and optimize our work management and collaboration tools, bridging the gap between business needs and technology. You will play a critical role in creating an intuitive, robust collaboration environment that enhances productivity and delivers a delightful user experience across the company.

The ideal candidate is a visionary with strong technical expertise in collaboration platforms—particularly Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow)—as well as a deep understanding of workflow automation, business processes, and emerging trends in AI and enterprise solutions.

Requirements

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Drive Collaboration Innovation: Build and optimize an innovative, intuitive collaboration environment, covering messaging, workflow automation, issue tracking, project management, and document collaboration.
• Strategize for Collaboration Tools: Serve as a subject matter expert on platforms such as Slack, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and other tools, ensuring they align with business objectives.
• Lead Jira Solutioning and Configuration:
• Design, configure, and maintain Jira workflows, schemes, automation rules, and integrations to enhance work tracking and project delivery.
• Customize Jira projects, dashboards, and reporting to meet stakeholder needs.
• Develop scalable solutions for Jira to improve process efficiency.
• Business Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders to deeply understand processes, gather requirements, and translate them into effective solutions.
• Champion Workflow Automation: Identify and advocate for opportunities to automate workflows, streamline processes, and improve user experience.
• Tool Integration and Optimization: Assess, evaluate, and integrate both existing and new collaboration tools to fill gaps and meet evolving business needs. Optimize integration across platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, and ServiceNow for a seamless user experience.
• AI Innovation: Stay informed about emerging AI solutions and industry trends, identifying thoughtful ways to integrate AI tools that accelerate team performance and impact.
• User-Centered Design: Focus on delivering solutions that are intuitive and joyful to use, enhancing productivity and satisfaction for end users.

Basic Qualifications 

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Jira configuration, solutioning, and engineering in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management) including configuration, workflows, automation, scripting, and integrations.
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise collaboration platforms such as Slack, ServiceNow, and project management tools.
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Experience leading workflow automation and process optimization projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting tools like Groovy (ScriptRunner) for Jira.
• Familiarity with REST APIs for tool integrations.
• Experience designing user-friendly dashboards and reports within Atlassian tools.
• Background in implementing AI-driven collaboration solutions.
• Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay current with emerging collaboration tools, trends, and AI technologies.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits

Salary

$110 - $130hr depending on experience and location.

 W2 Contract or 1099 with insurance. No Corp to Corp
