Associate Test Automation Engineer
United States (Remote)
The Associate Test Automation Engineer develops test code using test automation frameworks and test automation infrastructure. This position is collaborative with our Agile team, working closely with Development, DevOps, and Product to automate testing, optimize our tooling, ensure test suites are robust and reusable in order to maintain and improve the overall quality of what we deliver.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with Agile teams from the start of a sprint to deliver best-in-class technical solutions
- Identify defect-prone areas in product and platform architecture and provide test coverage
- Contribute to our test automation framework and infrastructure, and automate UI and API tests
- Monitor automation processes and follow up on results/defects
- Write and/or modify SQL queries to perform database validations
- Partner with DevOps and other teams to mature our Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines
- Produce documentation for automated frameworks
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to create test automation – 0-2+ years in a Software Development, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Automation Engineer capacity ideal
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work well in a team-oriented environment
- Exposure to some of and ability to leverage the following languages, frameworks and tools for REST API and UI test automation: JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Angular, Node.js, Cypress, Protractor, Selenium, Postman, Newman
- Ability to write automated test scripts to verify data structures, data formats and data values
- Ability to create and execute SQL queries
- Ability to maintain code repositories with Git/GitLab or similar
- Exposure to public cloud platforms, such as Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) nice-to-have
- Experience in a SaaS, B2B, online payments, software or product-centric business nice-to-have
The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
