About the Associate, Social Strategy  

We have an immediate opening for an Associate Strategist on our strategy team. This role involves actively engaging with users online to foster real-time brand interactions, conducting research to stay ahead of social media trends, and devising creative solutions both within and beyond social feeds to enhance our clients' brand presence.

As the Associate, Social Strategy you will

The associate strategist is a channel expert—Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, you name it—and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of content plans, supports the development of social strategies, and works closely with creative, media and analytics teams to provide actionable insight, analysis, points of view and research. 

  • Works with senior strategists to develop creative briefs that inspire thumb-stopping content

  • Manages calendars and content plans, ensuring assets and messages support objectives and requirements for key promotional windows

  • Maintains a pulse on trends and emerging platforms to develop POVs for clients 

  • Assists in the planning and execution of social media campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking. Ensure all content is on-brand and adheres to client guidelines.

  • Helps manage influencer campaigns from beginning to end including vetting, outreach, influencer communications, optimizations, and reporting. 

  • Supports measurement and insights team with social audience and creative performance analysis; provides insight from social listening platforms 

  • Identifies opportunities for partnerships with brands and personalities or real-time engagement opportunities 

About You

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in social media (strategy or community management preferred) in an agency environment or in a job that required attention across several projects at once 

  • Well-versed and experienced in working across digital as well as the social ecosystem

  • Working knowledge of paid social capabilities and best practices is a plus

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively about messaging and channel 

  • Strong writing, presentation and analytical thinking skills

  • Curious, open-minded and a team player. Leaves the ego at the door and enjoys fast-paced environments. 

  • Passionate about social media and influencer marketing

Pay Range: $43,800.00-63,400.00

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
