Associate, Procurement Value Management

Remote, any state, US

Location Designation: Hybrid - 1 day per quarter 

 

This position is hybrid - will go to the New York office 1 per quarter.

Procurement Savings Management

  • Review and validate the accuracy of the cost reduction and cost avoidance savings on all purchases of goods or services in which savings were achieved.
  • Monitor and report on achievement of targets for cost reduction savings, addressable spend, and project counts.
  • Measure and communicate the Procurement Savings results to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to develop strategies and recommendations for addressing missed or aggressive targets.
  • Work with the appropriate Finance groups to ensure that the Procurement pipeline and savings estimates translate to Business Unit targets and NYL strategic goals.

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Procurement Team Leads to develop and select the most relevant financial and operational metrics to provide a holistic view of Procurement performance.
  • Manage the design of reporting templates, establish distribution cadence and select the most appropriate distribution channels to provide updates to Procurement Leadership and others on selected metrics.
  • Monitor and report on the achievement of those targets.
  • Identify areas for improvement based on reporting and overall program metrics.
  • Work with other Procurement team leads to ensure continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis or concentration in Accounting is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of contracts to purchase goods and services from a supplier is a plus
  • Procurement sourcing experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of Source-to-Pay systems a plus
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting or procurement sourcing experience

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $65,000-$70,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
