Job Description Summary

               

Supports the Category Leadership process for assigned sales area. Collaboratively works with category leadership team, category execution team, sales team, supply chain, marketing team and the customer in the development of successful Customer Category Business Plans. Monitors sales and analyzes performance trends to identify issues and opportunities.

Job Description

  • Participates in Category Leadership planning, analysis, business reviews & opportunity targeting for assigned sales area with emphasis on strategic and preferred customers
  • Enables sales teams to provide category-focused counsel to customers supporting the innovation, promotional, and campaign analysis from a category perspective. This also includes customer KPI scorecarding.
  • Identifies customer opportunities and recommended actions by conducting comprehensive analyses of category for assigned customer teams
  • Supports new and core item plans from a category perspective
  • Conducts periodic and annual category reviews incorporating scorecard results
  • Conducts assortment, promotion analysis and other tactical analyses for assigned customer teams. This also includes customer KPI scorecarding.
  • Develops and maintains scheduled data reports, and conducts ad hoc reporting, as needed. This includes internal customer data, syndicated consumption data as well as Lamb Weston shipment data.
  • Supports the development of sales presentations for assigned teams, ensuring recommendations are category focused
  • Manages quarterly 4 C’s Report outs to the Leadership Team
  • Conducts distribution analysis, with a focus on improving warehouse freezer productivity and consumer experience. This includes development and recommendation of category gap analysis and product placement
  • Attends customer sales calls supporting the sales team as needed

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related industry experience or a related combination of education and experience
  • In-depth expertise in the use and applications of a variety of technologies and tools:
    • Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Scorecard development, Look Ups, advanced Formulas)
    • Expertise in industry related data sources (NPD Supply & Potato Tracks, Spectra, Technomic, Datessentials, Firefly)
  • Strong financial acumen
  • SAP, Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Ability to travel independently up to 50%

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $89,780.00 - $134,670.00
