Under a lead’s coaching, identifies client’s business needs for systems development and provides appropriate solutions.  Performs requirement analysis and documents requirements.  The associate will also perform manual integrated testing of modules within the system, based upon requirements.  Defines implements and verifies regression test data and test cases; and assists the developers in unit testing of initial code.

• Document the clients’ business needs in the form of user stories.
• Conduct grooming sessions with full team (users, developers dba’s, needed IT partners, etc.).
• Define, implement and verify test cases to be used in regression testing.
• Review and verify system enhancements.
• Create defect and enhancement items to be added to the backlog.
• Assist in the triage and/or resolution of production issues.
• Responds to questions from business and IT teams.
• Assist the development/QA team by ensuring automated testing meets expected results.
• Performs data analysis.
• Perform gap analysis to identify possible enhancements to existing system functionalities.
• Creates business process and technical diagrams for shared understanding.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

• Education in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or other IT related experience
• General business knowledge
• Competent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve routine problems by identifying root causes, issues or approaches
• Ability to work well within a team environment and seek involvement from others and areas to solve problems
• Ability to develop requirement documents, User Stories, Use Cases and Test Cases
• Ability to translate basic business needs and problems into technical solutions with assistance

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Agile/Iterative project teams in the role of business analyst
• Basic SQL query writing skills and other technical acumen
• Microsoft Office application experience (Excel, Word, Visio, Teams, SharePoint)
• Requirements management tool experience (Azure DevOps or others)

Compensation Range:

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
