About this role: 

As an Associate Implementation Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in shaping and delivering real value assisting our clients in successfully implementing their technology that are crucial in supporting their IT strategies. What you’ll do: 

  • Work on a wide range of projects directed by a Gartner Engagement Manager (Sr Project Manager) 

  • Partner and collaborate with the Gartner Engagement Team, Client Team and their Vendor(s) to effectively manage the project per the project charter, project management and schedule, executing on stakeholder engagement strategies and tactical action plans 

  • Develop knowledge of the client and client’s business processes, maintaining a thorough understanding of the client environment

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the project, goals and objectives and expected outcomes

  • Work side by side with vendor project manager(s), building trust, partnership and collaboration to ensure vendor produces high quality deliverables

  • Understand contracted statement of work and ensure vendor delivers per the statement of work

  • Manage and attend project meetings, including scheduling meetings, working with team to develop and provide the agenda, and documenting meeting minutes and action items. 

  • Prepare and maintain project management artifacts, documentation and related work products across the project lifecycle.

  • Leverage project management best practices, tools, templates, and standards, resulting in projects being on time, on budget and on target to deliver the anticipated business value Track vendor project deliverables and Project Team artifacts to ensure they are completed on time and meet quality standards. 

  • Create and manage tracking and reporting tools to monitor project controls and key performance indicators

  • Ensure the project management plan, schedule and change management processes are followed

  • Monitor vendor contract compliance, adherence to proposed/contracted approaches, methodology and deliverable expectations are met

  • Identify and escalate project issues and risks, documenting and managing remediation actions and status

  • Manage the project governance structure, ensuring effective and timely representation of issues, decisions and status with stakeholders at all levels of the project organization

  • Manage ongoing interaction and communication with internal stakeholders  

  • Responsible as the “go to person” for all related questions and issues related to the management of the project, the scope of the project and the contractual scope with the vendor(s)
