Associate General Counsel

Part-Time Role
- This is a part-time role, for which the selected candidate works full days each Tuesday and Thursday. Actual work time on those scheduled days varies based on then-applicable workload, deadlines, etc., and could range anywhere from 6 to 12 hours per day, but is generally expected to hover around 9 or 10 hours per day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Independently draft, negotiate, and provide critical review of various commercial agreements including SaaS purchase agreements, technology licensing agreements, capital equipment agreements, other vendor agreements, and other business arrangements as needed.
- Collaborate closely with operations and technology teams, and other leadership to structure agreements that facilitate the Company’s business objectives.
- Memorialize complex arrangements in plain English in such a way that would be clear to any third party.
- Proactively identify concerns and risks in both new and existing engagements, and solution in tandem with applicable business counterparts to mitigate risks while preserving business objectives.
- Set appropriate expectations with peers and business counterparts and prioritize workload accordingly.
- Proactively investigate concerns and issues and provide timely recommendations.
- Follow Contract Lifecycle Management processes to ensure the lifecycle of each contract as well as each fully executed document is correctly captured in the Company’s licensed CLM system.

Minimum Qualifications
- Law degree from accredited law school (J.D.) and admission to practice law in at least one state, with preference for Georgia, Texas, or Delaware
- 7+ years’ experience in either negotiation of contractual agreements or contract litigation
- Deep understanding of legal concepts, including but not limited to software licensing terms, Works made for Hire, clickwraps, limitations on liability, indemnification, etc.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a dynamic team of subject matter experts and other professionals
- Applies legal knowledge to real-world scenarios in fast paced environment
- Determines appropriate legal course of action to meet business needs
- Communicates clearly and skillfully in contracts, letters, messages, presentations, and in person
- Handles multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Adheres to and cultivates the Company’s Commitment, Authenticity, Respect, and Excellence core values
- Familiar with Contract Life Cycle management technology (“CLM”) and follows CLM workflows and protocols
- Proficient in Windows environment, MS Office, Outlook, and other applications as needed
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations preferred
- Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and state laws governing similar areas preferred
- Healthcare revenue cycle experience of any kind would be a plus

Note: Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $80,000 to $100,000. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
Benefits Will Include: 401K, Up to 6 days PTO annually, Paid Sick Leave, Heart & Soul (Volunteer Hours) and Holiday pay if holiday falls on a Tuesday or Thursday.
