As the Associate Director of Systems Engineering in our Computing Solutions Department, you will play a critical role in developing processing and graphics solutions for Avionics products, impacting both commercial and military environments. What YOU will do: 

  • Lead the Development of Cutting-Edge Solutions: You will influence the requirements, design, integration, and packaging for complex silicon solutions, collaborating with suppliers to deliver functional capabilities, tools, and verification strategies. 

  • Drive Product Roadmaps and Architectures: Develop product architectures and roadmaps while ensuring compliance with Avionics Engineering Processes and program requirements. 

  • Mentor and Guide Teams: Mentor systems engineers and collaborate closely with hardware, software, and firmware teams to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and delegate tasks effectively. 

  • Engage in Technical Proposal Development: Lead technical proposal development, including project planning, evaluation, and risk management of complex solutions. 

  • Ensure Certification Compliance: Support the development of certification strategies and compliance activities for products in military and civil environments. 

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience. 

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62 

  • 8+ years’ experience in development spanning the entire product life cycle. 

  • 8+ years’ experience with regulatory and certification requirements for firmware, hardware, software, and systems in an aerospace environment. 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • A degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large development teams with diverse skill sets and manage technical projects including schedule and earned value management, risk management, and customer interaction.
