Associate Director C
The Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) supports research at the interface of basic and clinical research focusing on developing new and safer therapeutics. ITMAT is at the forefront of US and global academic institutions, developing and implementing world class innovative educational programs designed to facilitate training of clinical and translational scientists and clinical research professionals.
The Associate Director of ITMAT Education Programs will work closely with the ITMAT Education faculty and staff, to manage all academic and operational aspects of the clinician-investigator development program, learning health system education initiatives, and additional innovative education modules. Program initiatives include the K2R program, coalescing a consortium of K12 programming and best practices, and disseminating professional development resources.
The AD will also develop and execute new learning health system education initiatives. The AD will review existing education opportunities and determine gaps in workforce development. With ITMAT Ed faculty staff, the AD will design curricula for appropriate audiences, write new program proposals, and with approval, implement new programs. The AD will be responsible for recruitment, admissions, program design and implementation, student advising, and program evaluation.
The AD will be responsible for expanding innovative education modules and lead our flagship Artist-in-Residence Program.
The AD will oversee communications for ITMAT Education, including web design, newsletter development, and alumni relations.
The AD will work closely with the ITMAT Education staff to integrate activities across the education portfolio. The AD will participate in grant proposal development and assist with administrative components for all ITMAT Education grants.
Job Duties:
Manage all academic and operational aspects of Clinician-Investigator Development Program. Lead curriculum development, management, and review; support the faculty leadership and program committees, provide recommendations, and implement changes. Work across PSOM to connect various stakeholders including faculty leadership across BGS, BPP, UME, GME, and K12 PIs.
Develop and implement new learning health system education initiatives. Coordinate with existing efforts across PSOM. Responsible for recruitment, admissions, program design and implementation, student advising, and program evaluation.
Lead Artist-in-Residence program. Work with faculty lead in program vision and design, lead recruitment and selection, collaborate on implementation across ITMAT Education programs.
Manage ITMAT Ed’s web presence. Develop and distribute alumni newsletter. Collaborate with the Development office for an annual giving campaign. Plan alumni events.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Expertise in online teaching and learning, especially for adult learners
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with sound decision-making and personal initiative.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with strict attention to detail.

Targeted Pay Range: $80,000- $85,000
This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
