We are seeking an Associate Director of Identity and Access Management Operations to infuse our team with innovative ideas and daring solutions. In this position, you will play a crucial role in defining how our organization ensures secure, appropriate, and timely access to enterprise resources, while also driving our Identity and Access Management strategy forward.
What You'll Be Doing
The Associate Director of Identity and Access Management Operations is a leadership role overseeing the team responsible for operating the company's identity platforms and services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the secure and efficient management of identity and access services within our organization. The responsibilities will encompass day-to-day operations, incident management, change management, and problem resolution related to IAM. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, address risks, and enhance our IAM program. This includes working closely with service leads to ensure alignment on priorities, allocating resources effectively, and driving operational excellence.

Lead and mentor a high-performing team of identity operations engineers,

Resource Planning & Allocation:
Work closely with service leads to understand project roadmaps and operational requirements.
Allocate operations resources aligned with top priorities across identity services.
Manage project intake, resourcing conflicts, and escalations across the security platforms portfolio and business priorities.
Operational Excellence:
Implement and lead processes for escalation, incident management, change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement.
Lead Incident Action Teams (IAT) to resolve high priority incidents for identity services impacting the business.
Establish service metrics based on requirements from service leads to measure success of identity services.
Effectively manage service platforms and technologies through vulnerability management, life cycle management, and vendor management.
Identify opportunities to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency through new technologies and processes.
Drive adoption of automation, tooling, CI/CD pipelines and Agile principles.
Ensure alignment with security architecture principles and technology standards.
Demonstrate experience in identity-related security incident response and incorporating learnings into operational improvements.
Your Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in leading an IT enterprise services operational support organization.
5+ years of proven leadership experience in Identity and Access Management.
Additional Preferences:
Experience with IT service management (ITIL)
Strong knowledge and experience in Identity and Access Management capabilities and technologies.
Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams in a global enterprise
Exceptional program/project management capabilities with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong business acumen combined with technical depth to influence and drive outcomes
Additional information:
Remote with travel to Indianapolis -10-25%.
Local candidates will be required to work a hybrid model at the Lilly Corporate Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $124,500 to $182,600 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
