The successful candidate will drive value by diving into the economic fundamentals of our business – supporting Portfolio Management, the annual planning and budgeting process, mid-term P&L development, and more to ensure OPH is set up for long-term success.

Job Description

The Associate Director, Business Analyst has financial experience, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative nature to support Otsuka Precision Health leadership's efforts in building out a long-term roadmap. You will ensure that company decisions around priorities, resource allocation, and more are enabled through financial transparency and keen financial insights. Further, you will develop an understanding of the underlying economics of Otsuka Precision Health offerings and support efforts to identify operational efficiencies and develop pricing models.

Responsibilities:

  • Main financial partner for senior management team.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services Finance team from affiliate organization.
  • Help complete comprehensive forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Monitor performance indicators and highlight trends for senior management.
  • Investigate material financial discrepancies in collaboration with Shared Services Finance Team.
  • Support the annual planning and budgeting process.
  • Support the Portfolio Management program.
  • Assist the development of the mid-term company P&L.
  • Help build cost models for the Otsuka Precision Health portfolio to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Analyze Otsuka Precision Health's products and services with a view toward proper pricing structure and price points.
  • Conduct financial analysis on our organization, divisions, and on specific projects.

Qualifications/ Required

Knowledge Required:

  • 5 years of experience in healthcare, technology, or other services industries
  • Expertise in financial analysis of operations at multiple levels: enterprise-wide, product-level, service-level, and initiative-level.
  • Balance quantitative and qualitative factors in analyses.
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with healthcare, digital health & data, precision health, and its potential impact at Otsuka and beyond
  • Collaborative team player with speed and skill.
  • Complex concepts to multiple partners and secure agreement.

Preferred

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Experience developing pricing models.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital health and data at a life science, healthcare, or start-up company.
  • Experience delivering valuable financial insights to support executive decision-making
  • Experience directly working with senior executive and board teams with objectivity and.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA or Master's in related field preferred

Minimum $143,340.00 - Maximum $214,245.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting salary for candidates hired to perform the work. Other elements may be used to determine actual salary such as the candidate’s job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role.
