What’s unique about this role?

Search Consulting is a team of experts in linguistics, ediscovery law and process, and legal technology. The team consults on and supports pre-review data minimization, maximizing cull rates, and applying technology and search expertise to optimize downstream review efficiencies. The Search Associate Consultant supports the team’s goals by providing services such as keyword search term optimization, analyzing, iterating, and reporting on terms to clients, and data minimization pre-review. The position requires a strict attention to detail and methodology, working both independently and collaboratively, communicating proactively, and taking full responsibility for ensuring work meets high quality standards.

What will this person do?

• Supports analysis and application of technology to reduce data volumes pre-review 
• Supports search consultation services
  1. Develops fluency in dtSearch syntax and relevant review platform features/functionality 
  2. Increases process knowledge, speed, and accuracy as they relate to standard search consultation services and QC protocols
  3. Ensures work product meets quality and timeliness standards
  4. Supports creation of client-facing analyses, reports, and other deliverables
  5. Expands understanding of client contexts, needs, and motivations
• Internal point of contact for project management teams     
  1. Addresses questions from project management teams or clients in timely manner

• Working knowledge of dtSearch syntax required

• Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar field of study or additional equivalent years of experience in ediscovery
• Adjusts to new situations quickly

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table
• Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting
• Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

The expected pay for this role will range from $58,650 to $78,200 per year.  This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
