As an Administrative-Professional (AP) in the Office of the Registrar, you will manage all aspects of the comprehensive academic catalog, ensuring its accuracy and compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and state regulations for all undergraduate and professional degree programs. You will act as Secretary for the Academic Affairs Committee and the Professional Health Sciences Committee, coordinating with the Committee Chair. Your responsibilities will include organizing and structuring academic programs within the catalog and the student information system.

You will collaborate with various technology units and personnel to develop, maintain, and upgrade systems, processes, reports, websites, and electronic forms related to catalog production and maintenance. Additionally, you will serve as a member of various university committees, contributing your expertise and insights.

The Pullman Office of the Registrar offers a hybrid working environment to all of its employees. This position is a local Pullman position with an option for a partial remote schedule. The successful candidate will need to meet WSU’s technical system requirements for working remotely and will be required to sign a telework agreement.

Additional Information:

This is a fulltime (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $5,000 - $5,166 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

  • Demonstrated computer skills that include desktop applications and database management.

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and management skills including priority setting and managing details.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate complicated concepts, both orally and in writing, to a variety of diverse populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and as a member of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful work experience in a Registrar’s Office and/or in higher education.

  • Experience with student information systems (SIS), specifically Oracle PeopleSoft.

  • Experience in monitoring and enforcing rules and regulations.
