Territory: 75% San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Fresno 
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 + up to 15% Bonus + Benefits (OTE = $92k-$98k)

Area Sales Manager (Wine Sales exp req) Description

Our client, a prominent Wine Supplier, is looking for an Area Sales Manager to add to their team and manage the California Central Coast Territory. You will be responsible for achieving sales goals in your assigned territory by ensuring that distributors and accounts understand the image of the brand and have the tools they need to deliver the message and increase wine sales. To be successful in this role, you must have both on-premise and off-premise alcohol sales experience for a supplier or distributor and knowledge of the industry, competition, and trends affecting the business. Ideal candidates will have a passion for wine and are knowledgeable in wine culture, varietals, growing regions, and food pairings. Area Sales Manager (Wine Sales exp req) Responsibilities

•    Attain sales, distribution, and profitability goals for the assigned area
•    Develop relationships with and motivate distributor salespeople to promote products
•    Identify new business opportunities 
•    Communicate approved programs and marketing initiatives
•    Educate salespeople and key accounts 
•    Conduct seminars, tastings, and winemaker dinners
•    Research and develop key account and target lists
•    Utilize sales tools effectively to grow existing business
•    Track and report on the effectiveness of programs
•    Assist in the execution of national programs throughout the area
•    Work with other managers and regions to provide support when needed
•    Produce timely sales activity and expense reports
•    Cooperate with personnel in other departments to ensure the best overall results for the winery

Area Sales Manager (Wine Sales exp req) Qualifications

•    2+ years of Wine Sales experience required
•    2+ years of Area or Territory sales experience required 
•    On-premise and Off-premise sales experience required
•    Must have a valid driver’s license
•    Must be willing to travel daily to serve and grow territory
