The Architect will lead the design, and delivery of Salesforce and ServiceMax solutions, driving the development of scalable, high-impact service solutions aligned with client needs.

You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on development, where you’ll be responsible for creating scalable, high-impact service solutions that meet our clients’ needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Architecture: Lead the design of Salesforce Service Cloud, Lightning, and ServiceMax solutions to ensure they meet business goals and integrate smoothly with existing systems.
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Oversee all stages of implementation—from requirements gathering to deployment—while guiding technical teams through the entire process.
- Collaboration: Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needs and achieve results.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor technical teams, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning to help others grow.
- Integration Expertise: Lead complex integrations between Salesforce, ServiceMax, and other enterprise systems (ERP, legacy systems, etc.) using APIs and middleware platforms like MuleSoft.
- Optimization & Troubleshooting: Solve complex technical challenges, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across all solutions.
- Customization & Development: Drive Salesforce customization efforts, leveraging Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and ServiceMax integrations.
- Security & Best Practices: Ensure solutions follow best practices for cloud security, data privacy, and scalability while meeting regulatory standards.

What will you need to be successful?
To be successful in this role, you will need a deep understanding of Salesforce and ServiceMax, with over 7 years of experience in designing and optimizing solutions, including expertise in Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and ServiceMax. Strong leadership is essential as you will be managing technical teams for 3+ years, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. You will also need extensive experience with integration platforms, such as MuleSoft, and proficiency in cloud and enterprise architecture.
Key skills include:
- Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I & II, Technical Architect)
- 5+ years of experience with middleware integration using Salesforce APIs, Apex, and platforms like MuleSoft
- Advanced expertise in Salesforce customization (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Process Builder)
- Strong knowledge of data security and governance, as well as DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in agile environments
Additional preferred skills include experience with DevOps tools like Copado, and a background in industries like healthcare or manufacturing where field service management is critical.
Travel Requirements: This position is remote.
All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialling process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $63,750 - $85,000 USD annually (or hourly)
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
