The role
As an Apprenticeship Coach you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We play a vital role in the security of the nation, supporting the equipment used by the British Army. This includes the fleet management of over 50,000 vehicles, ranging from quad bikes and generators to main battle tanks, and weapons from pistols to cannons.


Day to day, you’ll visit vehicle mechanic learners within their workplace using your vocational experience and knowledge to deliver learning, coach, assess and support them to achieve their apprenticeship.

 

  • Support, motivate and coach all learners through their apprenticeship programme, ensuring all components of the apprenticeship programme are completed in a timely manner whilst meeting awarding organisation, ESFA and Ofsted requirements. 
  • Monitor and review learners inline with the customer's expectations. 
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed to the correct standard and within agreed timelines. 
  • Provide portfolio building advice and guidance to learners based on the requirements of their programme. 
  • Effectively record, plan and track individual learner progress in accordance with agreed paperwork and reporting processes.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and offered on a 12-Month Fixed Term contract and is fully remote. There is a requirement to travel to locations inluding but no limited to Catterick, Newcastle upon Tyne, York, Ripon, and Thirsk four days per week.

Essential experience of the Apprenticeship Coach

  • Considerable experience in the vehicle mechanic field (Level 3 minimum)
  • Good understanding of work-based learning programmes
  • Previous experience in the defence sector, ideally within the army arena (desired not essential)
