AP Science Teacher- Curriculum Developer - Dallas, Texas, United States - Remote

UWorld is seeking a REMOTE AP Science Teacher to serve as Consulting Curriculum Developer and contribute to our web-based AP product lines. This individual will use their biology knowledge and expertise to help create exceptional curriculum materials by working closely with an onsite team of biology educators. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or other closely associated Sciences

Minimum Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience teaching Advanced Placement Biology, Chemistry, or Physics in a high school
  • 2+ years of experience developing high-yield materials for the AP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics curriculum

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the AP course and exam description
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality AP curriculum materials
  • Ability to communicate with high school student base about AP concepts and UWorld AP products
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with proven capacity to execute conceptual ideas into finished products
  • Aptitude for adapting quickly and collaborating effectively
  • Ability to provide, receive, and respond to feedback positively
  • Solid organizational, prioritization, and self-motivation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and a working knowledge of information technology (IT)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to the Curriculum Manager, develops educational and curriculum materials for AP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics products

Content Production & Student Interaction

  • Responsible for independent development of Advanced Placement educational materials based on directives and guidance from management
  • Generates content that reflects existing AP curriculum standards
  • Receives and effectively adjusts content based on constructive feedback provided by onsite Biology team and management
  • Collaborates with management and other team members to ensure project goals are met within given deadlines
  • Develops marketing materials and participates in online forums and webinars to aid marketing efforts to increase brand recognition

Compensation & Perks

  • $35 per hour minimum (contractor position)
