Job Type Full-time Description

Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a Business Analyst/Scrum Master to join our team in support of a new long-term project. This is a fully remote role, and the duties and responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develops an organization-wide strategy to implement Agile project management. 
  • Educates and trains individual employees, and teams on Agile methodology and techniques. 
  • Evaluates and enhances stand-up's, sprint meetings and overall communication to increase efficiency and effectiveness of development processes. 
  • Coaches managers and executives on Agile project management through workshops and one on one meetings to provide constructive feedback. 
  • Develops a strong understanding of organizational vision, strategy and processes to identify areas of improvement. 
  • Works with employees at all levels to provide hands-on support. 
  • Identifies, measures and communicates Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to track progress of Agile project management implementation. 
  • Keeps abreast of new industry developments, technologies and tools. 
  • Designs and oversees educational workshops and training sessions. 
  • Participates in recurring and ad-hoc meetings to facilitate discussion and build rapport. 
  • Identifies problem areas and effectively communicates information and recommendations to management. Ensures that Agile concepts and principles are adhered to.  
  • Assists in communicating requirements to development personnel based on customer and Subject Matter Expert input.
Requirements

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen

Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain common access card (CAC)

Candidate must have 6 years' experience with the following:

  • Agile project management and assisting team on Agile methodology.
  • Experience with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Candidate must have 5+ years' experience with the following:

  • Developing requirements from customers and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Experience with passing requirements to development personnel.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience working in and leading a dispersed, remote team
  • Experience working with Agile tooling
  • Experience working on US Air Force IT Projects
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Scrum Master Desired

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
