About the Opportunity
Our National IT Office of the Chief Information Security Officer’s (OCISO) Engagement & Enablement team has an immediate opening for an Experienced Information Security Analyst. In this role, you will be part of a highly motivated team seeking someone to raise IS awareness through multiple avenues including IS Training & Enablement and Communications support.
This role will provide support through research and analysis of information security data, respond to inquiries and identification of issues of varying complexity to develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to information security. Work to identify, evaluate and develop processes and procedures that are effective, meet requirements and IS standards and follow IS policy and/or IS risk compliance regulations. Provide reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and may provide consultation to clients, colleagues and management. Participate in cross-functional linked teams and with engagement across many areas of Information Security enablement; including communications support, IS training, IS awareness and security support programs. Experienced level position requires developing career in field and gaining knowledge of industry practices. Requires moderate level of experience and proficiency in field.

What You Will Do:
- Support customer product information utilizing tools such as SharePoint Online to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide support of training and enablement programs to include registration and scheduling along with the creation and maintenance of distribution groups.
- Work with stakeholders and other resources to identify customer needs and recommend communication or training solutions.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills along with acute attention to detail and a high level of data integrity and accuracy to write, review and edit IS communications to support customer communication needs.
- Review data analytics to ensure solutions are meeting customer needs and propose ideas for improving overall effectiveness. May include the need for ad-hoc reporting to track business value.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office along with various other online applications as needed for the role.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of high level Information Security practices.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 3- 5+ years of relevant work experience within Communications or Business support areas.

- The hiring range for Analyst-IS-Experienced is $83,100 – $103,900 annually.
- For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
- For candidates in certain markets (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City Metro Area, Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA), the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
- Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
