Analyst I, International Merchant Risk

The Merchant Risk Analytics team works cross-functionally with Merchant Underwriting, Merchant Growth, Engineering, and other analytics teams to establish scalable risk management for merchant acquisition and portfolio monitoring. We're looking for an intelligent, driven individual who wants to learn, grow, and solve challenging problems.
This role requires extensive use of data analytics and modeling to support international expansion & partnership onboarding while closely managing the fraud and credit risk of the related merchant portfolio. Additionally, this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to enhance our merchant risk management framework.
What You'll Do

Proactively explore opportunities, design, and drive automated merchant onboarding processes.

Partner with merchant growth, engineering, and underwriting teams to develop data-driven strategies.

Establish rules and strategies, and implement solutions using the merchant risk decision platform.

Assist in the development of our model strategy and identify potential gaps.

Build and apply innovative tools and quantitative approaches to solve exciting problems
What We Look For

EXPERIENCE - Minimum 1 year of experience in risk management or a related field, including prior experience with analytics.

CURIOSITY - Eagerness to explore new tools and methodologies to solve real-world problems.

TECHNICAL SKILLS- Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE - Passion for understanding how the product works and the broader context of business decisions.

EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitatively rigorous field such as engineering, statistics, optimization, math, finance, or economics.

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE - Working knowledge of the fundamentals of payment processing and a basic understanding of risk strategy development.

Equity Grade - 4
