Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

Who We Serve:
EMT serves organizations in the St. Louis, Missouri metro and surrounding areas, including neighboring areas in Illinois, as well as Cumberland, Maryland. These organizations include school districts, hospitals, doctor's offices, and more. We also transport individuals and families to and from appointments or simply when they need a ride.
Position Summary
Join our dedicated team of professionals in providing compassionate and reliable transportation for individuals in need of non-emergency transportation services. If selected for this opportunity, you will be transporting a variety of individuals including eldery and school-aged children, some with mental or physical differences, to and from school or other personal appointmtents. Job Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to and from their destinations in a timely, compassionate manner.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safe operation; report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Maintain accurate transport records, including times and passenger information, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle and adhere to predefined routes and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding patient pick-up and drop-off.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and sanitized.
- Handle any emergency situations or passenger needs during transport in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs required by the employer or state regulations.
- Collaborate with Student Monitor to ensure safe and compassionate transportation of passengers.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- 1-2 years in passenger transportation with experience in healthcare or school transport preferred.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Missouri Class E or Illinois driver's license - or the ability to obtain one prior to starting work - with a clean driving record for the last three years
- Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening
- Must pass a national, fingerprint-based background check
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols
Abilities:
- Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Punctuality and reliability in attending scheduled shifts
- Capacity to work calmly under pressure and in emergency situations
- Patience and empathy towards patients with mental or physical disabilities
- Ability to document transport details accurately and submit reports as required
