Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $139,100.00 - $208,700.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $30,000.00.

Job Description

As a Senior AWS Alliance Manager, you will own the field strategy between Rapidscale and AWS for SMB West and the Startup segment nationally. You will identify AWS teams to engage with and land the Rapidscale brand with sales and sales adjacent teams.

Through this education and evangelism, you will create the connectivity between our mutual sellers for the purpose of driving co-sell and partner influenced bookings. 

During this co-sell motion, you will also manage AWS’s funding programs for our sellers such as MAP to ensure that we are maximizing incentives on behalf of our customers. 

Last, you will be an extension of our alliance marketing team in facilitating field marketing events, aligning digital campaigns with AWS’s focus areas, and providing input to CTA’s (calls to action ) in the form of sales plays and other promotions. 


Your Responsibilities Will Include
 
•    Developing a deep understanding of Rapidscale product/service mix, key accounts, case studies, and how and why we sell to market segments
•    Supporting Rapidscale sellers to execute Alliance GTM strategy in SMB West and Startup nationally.
•    Fostering sales alignment between AWS sellers, SA’s, specialty teams.
•    Ongoing evangelization and education of Rapidscale capabilities to AWS field teams through 1:1 and 1: many outreach
•    Supporting field marketing in demand generation and execution of local and virtual events
•    Maintaining a rhythm of the business with AW’s partner sales team and sales leadership. This includes communicating pipeline, notable wins, product updates, marketing events and results.
•    Field level oversight of strategic partner programs that we are participating in or that we are developing internally.
•    Supporting Rapidscale sales team on sales opportunities for items such as sales rep mapping, SME access, pricing/funding requests, and competitive assistance.
•    Having a pulse on local market dynamics, competitive landscape, opportunities, and challenges and providing structured feedback and data driven recommendations to executive management.
 

Qualifications
 
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field (i.e. experience nurturing and managing strategic partnerships with AWS at an SI and/or MSP)

  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field in lieu of degree. 

  • 5+ years of a demonstrated ability to understand the dynamics of sales, marketing, and product and think strategically about how to focus each to exploit opportunities and overcome challenges

•    Possess a solid sales/marketing/business development background to effectively engage with a diverse audience of partner field teams by understanding their goals and drivers and consequently tailoring relationship building efforts
•    Well versed on core public Cloud computing principles, ideally with an understanding of how security and industry compliance requirements affect customer adoption.
