Job Description

This Allstate Benefits/ American Heritage Life – new Agency General Agent/Distribution Manager Channel Sales Executive works specifically with key independent General Agent / Distribution Manager Partners responsible for recruiting, training, educating, managing, motivating and maintaining strong relationships sell and service our products in an assigned market in order to ensure profitable growth and meet sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting new General Agent / Distribution Manager Partners and assist them with recruiting, training, sales, joint field work using our Workplace Group and Individual products, achievement of premium growth objectives, and the servicing and conservation of insurance in force

• Recruit, train, motivate and develop sub-producers with the AGA/DMAs throughout assigned area in the region.

• Help General Agent / Distribution Manager Partners implement and support the corporate strategy.

• Meet or exceed assigned production plan.

• Responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with our Home Office teams in Sales Support, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Billing Support, Compliance, Commission Accounting, Home Office personnel, and Allstate Field Management.

• Make qualified joint calls on groups with General Agent / Distribution Manager Partners and their sub-producers and provide consultation and enrollment guidance on the new producer’s accounts. 

• Provide feedback on changes in the marketplace.

• Help analyze markets and formulate recruiting programs, secure producers who will effectively produce quality premiums.

• Contribute to effective relationships between the producers and Home Office departments.

Education and Experience:

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

• 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Life & Health License Required

• CLU and ChFC (Preferred)

Compensation: $45,000 annual salary + performance-based incentive*

Average annual incentive payout for 2023 was $70,000*; average annualized pay with incentive in 2023 was $115,000. Additional compensation for various additional product lines and bonuses vary.

* Incentive based on productivity: incentive payments are not guaranteed and are governed by the terms of the applicable sales bonus plan which is subject to change at Allstate’s discretion.
