A Brief Overview
Performs challenging and sometimes complicated facilitator activities under limited supervision, to enable effective application of lean/agile software development principles with latitude to apply independent judgement.
What you will do
Guide teams and leadership in developing and executing Agile transformation strategies that align with RGA’s goals
Promote a product-first mindset focused on delivering value and outcomes rather than just outputs
Mentor teams and leaders on Agile values, principles, and practices, fostering self-organizing, high-performing teams.
Facilitate critical Agile ceremonies such as retrospectives, planning sessions, and reviews, ensuring alignment and value delivery
Design and implement frameworks tailored to RGA’s needs, enabling consistent delivery across teams while maintaining flexibility.
Help teams and leadership adopt Agile metrics that measure outcomes like value delivery, flow efficiency, and team health.
Act as a champion for organizational change, addressing resistance and promoting a mindset of adaptability and growth.
Foster collaboration across departments, creating alignment between business and technology teams.
Encourage experimentation and learning, driving iterative improvements in processes and outcomes.
Build a culture of psychological safety where teams feel empowered to innovate and take ownership of their work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience Required
6+ Years of application development experience on an agile delivery team in a fast-paced technology or financial services or insurance environment. Preferred
3+ years as a Scrum Master/Agile Coach in an agile and/or hybrid environment. Working knowledge of Financial Management / Accounting system tools. Required
Advanced scrum master skills; demonstrated ability to evaluate product owner objectives and scope for feasibility, understanding and planning to meet success criteria Required
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates in a technology environment. Required
Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and work under tight timelines; demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage team dynamics in stressful conditions. Required
Advanced knowledge and experience with various software development methodologies; demonstrated ability to discern "fit for purpose" methods and apply rationale to produce desired project outcomes Required
Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to convey ideas in a clear and concise manner Required
Advanced communication and change management skills; demonstrated ability to influence a wide range of audiences, from Individual contributors to senior leaders Required
Requirements management tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, etc.) Required
Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Familiarity with Lean, SixSigma or other process improvement methodologies Required
Advanced risk mitigation and issue resolution skills; demonstrated ability to identify challenges and determine solutions Preferred
Industry certification(s) in various aspects of the Agile Framework or equivalent work experience Required

Compensation Range:
$101,685.00 - $151,435.00 AnnualBase pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
