Day-to-Day Job Overview 

  • Develop high-quality embedded firmware and support software
  • Follow the SDLC from start to finish
  • Develop safety critical software using DO-178 and MIL-STD-882
  • Generate deliverables and documentation

 

Responsibilities 

  • SW Architecture Design, Planning and Documentation
  • Programming Arm Cortex microcontrollers
  • Programming 16-bit PIC microcontrollers
  • Serial communications protocols (RS485, SPI, I2C, 1553, ARINC 429 & 825, CAN)
  • Non-volatile Memory, EEPROM Emulation, ROM, storage of configuration constants
  • Cybersecurity requirements including boot protection, image verification, NVM
  • CI/CD using GitLab
  • DO-178 development expertise
  • MISRA-C linting
  • Writing and utilizing bootloaders
  • Excellent debugging methodology and tools (JTAG, SWD)
  • Selection of MCUs for new products
  • Support SW using LabView, python, Excel, and Matlab/Octave

You will be joining a small team of highly motivated individuals working on the next generation of aerospace power distribution electronics.  Each team member wears several hats, providing ample opportunities to learn and expand your talent.   We are rapidly growing our software development and safety certification capabilities to augment our existing state-of-the-art hardware products.

This position will be part of the AEROSPACE, DEFENSE & MARINE (AD&M) BUSINESS UNIT  
 

Work Location 
The location for this position is Remote or HYBRID with on-site work location in Carpinteria, CA.
 

What your background should look like:

  • Have received a BA/BS Degree in, Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history.
  • 8-10 years of experience  
  • Are a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must be able to travel to Carpinteria, CA on an as-needed basis.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $153,000 - $229,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
