We are seeking an Advisor Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience in financial services marketing. The intern will support the Advisor Marketing team across various data, technology, administrative, research, and project tasks aimed at enhancing advisor growth efforts. Key takeaways from this role include learning about marketing automation, Salesforce, data segmentation, and advisor content. Additionally, the intern will assist Regional Marketing Specialists and advisory teams with up-to-date data, focusing on the Advisor Marketing Platform to support growth collateral and communications. This position is ideal for students looking to develop a strong foundation in marketing within the financial services industry.

Primary Job Functions

Advisor Marketing Platform (AMP) Support

  • Work with Regional Marketing Specialists (RMS) to ensure that lists in Salesforce are updated in AMP on a regular basis

  • Ensure data integrity and be proactive in ensuring data is up to date

  • Help with email and event creation in AMP

  • Coordinate and support requests from Advisors through the Content and Creative teams

  • Become a subject matter expert in AMP with a deep knowledge of advisor content

Customize Advisor Templates in Canva

  • Use Canva to create and customize unique advisor templates based on team requests

  • Load content and craft templates in AMP

  • Ensure that content is supplied to advisors in a timely and detail-oriented manner

  • Maintain content categories to ensure ease of use for advisors

Salesforce Platform Support

  • Provide ad hoc support for team data and segmentation needs

  • Help provide valuable analysis to RMS and advisory teams

  • Learn to perform data segmentation and analysis to drive growth

  • Create Salesforce campaigns aligned to events for tracking of ROI

  • Serve as a critical part of the team for event planning and campaign creation

  • Report back on event metrics and success

  • Learn to be data-driven when planning events and how to report on metrics of success

Creation of Toolkits & 1 Pagers

  • Assist the Advisor Marketing team with creation of 1 pager checklists on topical issues relevant to advisors and the use of our marketing products

  • Assist the Advisor Marketing team with creation of toolkits – packages of materials for hosting events that include all of the marketing collateral needed (social posts, imagery, invitations, email copy & layout, checklists and process documentation)

Education/Qualifications

  • Preferably Pursuing bachelor’s degree in marketing, mass communications, or related field

  • Preferably students between their junior and senior years

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization

  • Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable

WEG hires employees and makes decisions about their salary qualifications based on factors such as: the role to be performed; educational and professional experience, qualifications, skills and credentials; tenure, cost-of-living and demand for the role in the applicable market. Thus, the entire salary range for those who are classified as the Intern level is $34,309 to $52,983.
