Administrative & Commercial Support Specialist, Brain Therapies

Position Location: Austin, TX

NOTE: This position is required to be in-office 4 days a week with 1 day remote. This is not a fully remote position.

Neuromodulation

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Administrative & Commercial Support Specialist for our Abbott Brain Therapies Team. As a member of this team, you’ll work closely with the commercial leadership, ensuring the planning, execution, and tracking of activities are executed seamlessly. The incumbent in this position will be regarded as a self-starter that is proactive, organized, and planful with an attention to detail and a passion for teamwork and collaboration.

What You’ll Work On

  • Responsible for providing administrative and secretarial services to the organization.
  • Ability to execute highly complex or specialized work.
  • Senior support role tasked with administration of general business office activities.
  • Such activities are clerical in nature and may include mail, word processing, filing, order processing, telephone answering, stationery supplies, producing documents, collecting, recording, sorting and filing information, handling mail, preparing routine reports, making travel arrangements, arranging appointments, responding to enquiries, and operating office equipment.
  • Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the specific area.
  • Work within well-established guidelines.
  • Role holder is capable of analyzing complex information requests and determining complex trends.
  • Frequently reports to a department manager.
  • Set and run weekly update calls/meetings internally and externally to assure adherence to event timelines.
  • Manage funding/budget for commercial sponsorship programs and maintain compliance records.
  • Ensure compliance in all marketing and education program activities.
  • Align with the marketing budget, monitor, and maintain campaign metrics.
  • Create communications that adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional sales, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Provide high-level support to executive management and directors to include expense management, meeting planning and associated travel and scheduling logistics.
  • Maintain and manage complex calendars.
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Manage confidential information and always maintain discretion.
  • Respond to routine and complex inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Works independently, applies standards yet adapts precedent and may make departures from established processes to resolve problems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track record of reliability and dependability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

The base pay for this position is

$22.15 – $44.25/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
