We are looking for enthusiastic and technically proficient Administrative Assistants to join our team in service/floater roles across the organization. Administrative Assistant positions support researchers and associated tasks as needed. This role requires a team player who is flexible, able to swiftly change pace, adapts to changing priorities and juggle a varied work mix while working under minimal supervision. Day-to-day responsibilities will include calendaring, scheduling meetings/ conference calls, domestic and international travel arranging and expense reimbursement, logistical planning, tracking action items and keeping tasks on schedule. Other responsibilities include formatting documents and references and preparing them for the internal quality assurance process, assisting with proposal submissions, citation management, conference, and large meeting planning.
Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Solid technical skills
Prioritizing professionalism within the workplace, demonstrating tact, courtesy, and discretion when working with clients and other staff members
Work both independently and effectively as a team player
The capacity to work accurately with an attention to detail
Ability to be proactive and take initiative
Ability to multitask and prioritize a wide range of support responsibilities
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Workday, and Concur
Experience
One year minimum experience. Preferred: 1-2 years’ experience (BA degree may be considered as 2 years of experience)
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Security Clearance
Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Candidates with an active clearance are preferred.
Location
This is a hybrid role (working onsite 2-3 days each week at a RAND office in Boston, MA, Pittsburgh, PA or Arlington, VA). Fully remote is not available for this role.
Salary Range: $45,900 - $73,800
Administrative Assistant II $45,900 - $66,300
Administrative Assistant III $50,900 - $73,800
