We are looking for an Ad Operations Manager to join as an early member of our sales and client success organization of the new Game Advertising and Marketing Solution business line at Discord. The ideal candidate for this role will be well grounded in the digital ad industry – campaign operations, ad technology, measurement, and analysis – at the same time seeking an opportunity to be part of our efforts to invent entirely new formats, technologies, and methodologies. Candidates who are experience and passionate about the gaming industry will be especially well-positioned to ensure success of our game developers and publishers. 

This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and optimization of client ad campaigns on Discord. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who has experience at effectively staging up and managing campaigns to ensure they meet client goals, troubleshooting operational and technical issues, analyzing campaign performance, and creating client-facing reports and actionable insights.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to gather, prioritize, and synthesize client goals and needs.
  • Develop the strategies and plans to execute, optimize and monitor digital ad campaigns on Discord based on client needs – including determining best ways to stage and traffic campaigns, gather creative assets, and implement ad tags and tracking.
  • Develop systems to ensure accurate implementation of campaign parameters – including dates, targeting, tracking, impression/reach goals, geographies, and budget level.
  • Work cross-functionally with Account Managers, Product Managers, and technical teams to determine best ways to optimize campaign outcomes and maximize ROI for clients – including technical troubleshooting and problem solving, as well A/B testing of messaging, creative, and targeting.
  • Synthesize campaign performance insights for internal stakeholders and clients that summarize campaign performance, trends, ROI, as well as actionable recommendations.
