Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to manage day-to-day receivables and support general accounting tasks. While our AR volume is minimal, this role requires someone who can accurately apply deposits and final payments, and assist with broader accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply customer deposits and final payments before product shipment
- Monitor and manage open AR balances (limited number of accounts with terms)
- Reconcile AR transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain accurate AR reports and documentation
- Assist with journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Support month-end closing activities
- Collaborate with the accounting team on ad hoc financial tasks
- Provide support in maintaining accurate financial records
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
