Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist to play a pivotal role in our finance operations. This role will perform a range of accounting tasks. This includes managing A/R and A/P, preparing financial reports, maintaining accounts, and assisting with audits. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records and data entry.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
• Support the preparation and filing of tax returns
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and initiatives.
• Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Education:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
