We’re looking for a driven, highly detail oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, and accruals, including reviewing buy-side contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment, reviewing purchase requisitions and supplier invoices, managing supplier resolutions, reviewing corporate card expense reports, and ensuring an accurate month-end close. This role will involve close partnership day to day with cross-functional teams including FP&A, legal, procurement, marketing, and workplace services to ensure accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and contribute to the company’s growth by driving automation and process improvements to help us scale long term.

Responsibilities

  • Review buy-side contracts to ensure appropriate and accurate accounting treatment

  • Manage fixed asset ledger by tracking additions and disposals on a monthly basis

  • Collaborate with the events marketing team and marketing FP&A to align on timing and nature of spend and corresponding forecasts

  • Drive the month-end accounting close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliations

  • Partner with Procurement to review/manage purchase requisitions for proper account coding

  • Support the AP specialist in supplier onboarding and issue resolutions

  • Prepare and present monthly financial close packages to senior management

  • Serve as a key contact for external auditors during reviews and audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition

  • Identify and drive the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability with accounting operations

Requirements And Preferred Experience

  • BA/BS degree in accounting required

  • CPA preferred

  • Public accounting experience preferred

  • Proven track record of driving automation and process improvements

  • Experience compiling flux analyses and presenting results

  • Ability to manage work and solve problems independently

  • Understanding of internal controls and documentation process

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the SaaS industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 842 and lease accounting principles

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively

  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build effective partnerships internally and with external contacts

  • Proven ability to manage month-end close processes, meet tight deadlines, and proactively drive the accounting process

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
