Accounting Manager

Ideal candidate will be local to Columbus, Ohio with the ability to work a hybrid schedule, also open to remote candidates in the Midwest.

The Intercompany Center of Excellence (IC COE) accounting manager is responsible for oversight of intercompany inventory transactions, the settlement process, and intercompany AR and AP subledgers across all segments of the company.

What General Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health

General Accounting is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records and preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the inventory in-transit process and intercompany center of excellence for the company. This includes management of the intercompany AR and AP subledgers, settlement process, research of IC out of balances, understand new intercompany lane transaction flows and settlement process, and inventory in-transit analysis.
  • Oversees a team of supervisors who are responsible for work conducted by outsourced staff and maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that outsourced staff comply with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the management of the monthly financial close process, including reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and performing timely review of results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Performs regular review of accounting processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processing under an appropriate control environment.
  • Identify, coordinate, and execute special projects that serve the department’s and organization’s objectives
  • Business partnering with peer accounting, supply chain, master data, tax, and treasury teams
  • Lead and mentor a multi-functional team in the execution of their job responsibilities and issue resolution.
  • Represent the department, cross-functionally, in interactions with all levels of management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 6+ years of accounting experience in related field, preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA preferred

Anticipated salary range: $103,500-$155,295
