Overview
WildBrain Studios is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team!
In this role you’ll support our Finance team in the day-to-day operations of the department. This position is perfect for an individual who is self-motivated, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and looking to grow and gain experience within a creative environment.
This position is a 14 month full-time contract and expected start date is early May, and required to work in-person at our Vancouver Studio.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do:
- Bi-weekly processing of independent contractor Accounts Payable invoices
- Preparation and processing of monthly related party charges.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in Microsoft Dynamics in multiple currencies
- Review timesheets for preparation of payment of voice record to cast and union; entry of resulting timesheets into Accounts payable module of Microsoft Dynamics
- Calculation and processing of quarterly WorkSafe BC Returns
- Prepare GST and VAT returns and file online
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, sorting and photocopying documents
- Update and maintain excel spreadsheets
- Other tasks and responsibilities as requested
What You’ll Bring:
- 2 years of Accounting Experience
- Completion of related courses
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Great attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Intermediate Adobe Acrobat skills
- Experience in a large organization with intercompany or multidivisional accounting
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team to meet deadlines
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
