Accountant IV

The Accountant IV will participate in accounting functions within in the bank with a focus on the bank's loan portfolio. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing support for financial decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Loan Accounting:

· Oversee the accounting for all loan transactions.

· Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of loan accounts in the general ledger.

· Prepare and review loan-related financial statements and reports.

· Financial Reporting:

· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

· Provide detailed analysis and explanations of loan-related financial data.

· Internal Controls:

· Develop and maintain internal controls related to loan accounting processes.

· Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

· Collaboration and Support:

· Work closely with the Assistant Controller and other finance team members.

· Provide support and guidance to loan officers and other departments regarding loan accounting matters.

· Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed.

Position Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.

· Experience in bank accounting preferred.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required.
