Position Summary

The Accountant I is an integral role on the MultiCare finance team, responsible for month-close tasks and ledger reconciliation. In this position, you will apply your accounting expertise to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

• You will prepare journal entries and adjustments in general and subsidiary ledgers
• You will prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
• You will meet monthly close deadlines and follows-up as appropriate with supervisor/reviewer to assure timely preparation of all work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; four years of relevant accounting/finance experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Working toward or plan to work toward CPA preferred
• Minimum one (1) year of related work experience preferred
• Healthcare experience a plus
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with general ledger system preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $57,949.00 - $83,366.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
