Job Summary:This position will be responsible for developing, preparing, and analyzing records and/or financial reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs for the Information Technology Group. The position will retrieve and review data files as well as track expenditures compared to budget by utilizing our automated accounting system and applications.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:Use current computer technology to develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping and tracking systems.
Use automated accounting systems and applications to retrieve and review data files, analyze information, track revenues and/or expenditures compared to projections and will approve recommendations for billings, invoices, and payments.
Examine, maintain, and analyze accounting records or financial reports to ensure correct charges.
Create purchase requisitions, receipts, and track completions.
Develop and maintain performance metrics.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):Knowledge:
* Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the analysis and reporting of financial data.
* Working knowledge of financial research methodologies.
* Considerable knowledge of the methods and techniques of automated financial systems.
* Google and Microsoft applications.
Skill:
* Considerable skill in analysis, interpretation, and communication of financial data.
* Gathers and compiles data and written reports summarizing financial transactions and status of account for a given period.
* Data entry to record transactions in the accounting system.
Ability:
* Ability to carry out assigned steps in accounting analyses, such as computing standard ratios.
* Reconciles reports and financial data and identifies apparent inconsistencies or errors.
* Works well with others.
* Professionally communicates with others.
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or related field; or previous relevant work experience.
Experience with automated accounting system, spreadsheet applications, and other analytical tools.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
